Every account starts with a free one-month trial — 5 servers, 90 days of history, email and Slack alerts. No card. When it ends you drop to Free, and monitoring keeps running.

On Free, in-depth metrics are only hidden on screen. We keep collecting them, so when you move to Starter you see their history right away.
The extra-server price is higher than the per-server price of the plan on purpose. If you keep going over, the bigger plan should be cheaper for you — overage is not how this is supposed to make money.

100 founding seats
Counted by accounts, not by date. Your seat is held the moment you verify your email — you do not lose it during the trial. The founding price applies when you pay before your trial ends — after that, it is the list price.
Yearly billing only. Small monthly charges lose a large share to payment fees, and that has to come from somewhere.
What happens at the limits
Over your server count: new servers wait and do not connect until a slot frees up, and we email you once — delete a server or move up a plan and they connect. Nothing is charged automatically.
When the trial ends: you drop to Free — 2 servers. The top 2 in your custom server order (by name, if you sort by name) keep running; if you never set an order, the ones you connected first do. The rest pause and are deleted 30 days later — pay or reorder before then and they resume.
If you cancel: Cancel any time from the Account page. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free. Servers above the limit stop reporting and are deleted if you do not subscribe again within 30 days — we email you before that happens.
If you pay during the trial: billing starts the day you pay and the rest of your trial ends. There is no rush — pay before the trial ends and monitoring never stops, and the founding price is still yours.
